About the event

Schedule 5.00 PM: Arrival/Relax at rocky ridge farm followed by Tea/Coffee

5.15 PM: Move to Level 2 campsite (900 meters away)

5:45 PM: Setup the telescope, understand how to use the telescope. Safety instructions etc. 7:15 PM: Stargazing session - Explore Jupiter, dense star clusters, double stars, nebula, galaxies etc. with one of the largest amateur telescopes in India. We are going to setup the telescope, eyepieces etc. but you would be doing the searching and finding on your own. We will provide guidance throughout. (Also during this time, you can setup the camera for night time photography, if interested. Assistance will be provided for the same.)

8.30PM-9.30PM: Buffet Dinner 9.30 PM: Hunt for more deep sky objects. Sleep and wake as needed 4.30 AM: Stargazing with telescopes resume. The current phase of Venus, watch the glorious milky way with your eyes and hunt for faint nebulae in it, using the telescope!

6.30 AM: Tea and biscuits.

7:00 AM Packup and leave campsite. Return to rocky ridge cafe. Post session discussion and exchange of experience. Learn to catalog your observations.  8.30 AM to 9.30 AM: Elaborate breakfast and leave by 10 AM.
